Thank you for supporting the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin.

A gift of stock to the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin allows us to accomplish our mission to protect our state’s lands, waters, and wildlife by providing funding, leading partnerships, and connecting all people with nature.

Your support goes to on-the-ground conservation projects, environmental education, and ensuring that NRF and our many partners in conservation will be here, caring for the land you love, for generations to come.

Benefits of gifting appreciated securities include an immediate charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock and avoidance of capital gain taxes that would normally be due upon sale. For additional information, review our gift acceptance policy.

Please let us know

Please inform the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin of stock transfers so that we can properly acknowledge your gift. Each financial institution or brokerage handles these transactions uniquely, so they may not alert the Natural Resources Foundation with the contact information of the donor. By contacting us we’ll be able to provide you with updates of the transfer and you will receive a mailed receipt of your gift for your records. Most transfers take only a few days, but it can sometimes be up to a week or more.

Please reach out to the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin, with the following information, via email or a phone call. We will ask you to share: Your name, name of the stock/fund, number of shares, name of financial institution or broker, date of transfer, and how you’d like the proceeds to benefit NRF.

What you’ll need

Donors who would like to donate a gift of stock may share the following information with your broker or financial adviser. Most financial institutions or brokerages have online forms to initiate giving directly through your account.

If you are transferring a mutual fund to the Natural Resources Foundation, please contact us so we can secure the appropriate account number specific to your mutual fund from TIAA.
